  3. I was maid-of-honor in a wedding where this happened. And I had to make my plan right there and then. As those goofballs passed the Groom’s ring from the bottom of the steps to the top, I waited. And when the pastor said to the Bride, “Do YOU have a ring?” I was able to proudly stand on my two feet and, with an emphatic gesture, hand it to my beloved friend, the Bride. For some reason, that got a big laugh!
